Searching Skype

A True Story

I found a passport while walking through a European Capital city, and it belonged to a citizen of the Republic of Georgia.

There was not contact information in the passport, just a photo of the passport holder and his name.

I contacted the local police and the embassy, and they simply could not be bothered... but it was Christmas time, and I wanted to make sure that the gentleman got back his passport. The visas and things inside are difficult to replace.

I searched Google, Yahoo and all of the major searches with no luck.

Finally, I got the idea to search the Skype Directory and BINGO! I found him on the first try.

I immediately called him and he sent a friend to my house to retrieve his lost passport. He was very pleased indeed and even brought a box of chocolates for my kids! :)
